Belarusian human rights activists want to observe Ukrainian election
But observation requires a lot of organization.
Observers will need to take part in another campaign soon – the local elections in Belarus. However, a lot of attention is being paid to the Ukrainian presidential election appointed for May 25. Euroradio asked head of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee Aleh Hulak whether Belarusian observers would go to Ukraine.
Hulak: "We are interested in it. But it requires certain expenses and organization. According to the Ukrainian legislation, international organizations are allowed to observe elections. Everything needs to be organized.”
Belarusian observers will be able to decide whether to go to Ukraine at the beginning of May, Hulak said.
