Belarusians deposit family capital worth of $115 million
Over 11.5 thousand people opened their family capital deposits by the end of 2015, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Mariana Shchotkina announced on Belarus-1 on January 10. It means that the deposits have reached the sum of more than $115 million dollars.
The family capital, a new way of supporting families having many children, was introduced in Belarus on January 1, 2015. When the third child is born into a family, the mother will get $10 thousand on account. They money can be used to improve living conditions, education social services and healthcare. The programme will be in force until December 31, 2019. The right for the family capital can be used only once.
