Designer creates traditional Belarusian pattern textiles (photo)

Minsk designer Yuliya Mamedava has created textiles based on traditional Belarusian patterns.

 "I do not think that it is only fashion or that it can be forgotten later. This is history, traditions and memory for me even though I am half Belarusian by origin. I wanted to look at ornaments in a different way, to let them get into my heart and to show them in a nontraditionally so that they could be used in modern interiors including Scandinavian ones that are loved by Belarusians a lot,” the young woman wrote on Facebook.
