German booksellers donate €1 thousand to Lohvinau
They have asked the Belarusian authorities to cancel the fine and give a license to the publisher.
The Union of German Booksellers has donated 1 thousand euro to the publishing house LohvinaŬ and sent a letter to Alyaksandr Lukashenka. The head of the campaign Alexander Skipis has asked the Belarusian authorities to cancel the fine and give a licence to the publishing house, deutschewelle reports.
The Economic Court fined Ihar Lohvinau for over 5 million roubles ‘fro illegal businesses’. He was also obliged to pay Br961 million for the illegal income of the shop. The bookshop collected almost the whole sum needed to pay the fine with the help of donations in only 2 months.
