Witness: I saw a dead woman on the asphalt
Euroradio talks to blast witnesses.
Witness Halina: "I approached the metro station from the side of the central department store at the moment when the blast occurred. I saw people coming out, I saw black smoke, I felt horrible smell. People were covered with ashes, black sticky ashes on their clothes, on their footwear, on their faces - only their eyes were white. Then they started carrying out the injured, there were many ambulance cars. I counted about 30. The people who could walk walked by themselves, others were carried in the stretchers. There were lacerated arms, legs, and stomachs; jeans, red with blood. Witnesses claim there was much blood on the platform. There was a very strong explosive wave, people fell down on the escalator, some of them broke their legs. There were many wounded people, carried on stretchers - the doctors applied tourniquets on their arms and legs, gave them injections, put in the ambulance cars and drove away. I saw 8 people in a very serious condition - the doctors were carrying them.
Then riot police arrived, and started forcing us out, rather far, to McDonald's. I saw a dead body covered with plastic film. It was a woman of about 30 years old. They took her off the stretchers to free space for someone they could save by then. And put her on the asphalt.
People were shocked. They tried to call their relatives, close people, but the network failed at once. People were shouting at the riot policemen, who forced them out: "Why are you forcing us out, you do it at demonstrations, and we need to know".
