Reports: Students made to pick berries for ‘plonk’

More than 90 students from Orsa and Viciebsk are working on Talacyn's canning factory plantations now. They are picking gooseberries and red currant, Viciebsk People’s News reports.

Six groups of students from four Viciebsk and Orsa higher educational institutions are doing this work. One person is supposed to picket 40 kilos of gooseberries or 25 kilos of red currant a day.

By the way, there is no juice, berry drinks or other products of the kind on Talachyn canning factory’s price list. They make cheap wine instead.  They rpoduce gooseberry and red currant wine: “Talacyn Paulinka”, “Talacyn Garden of Eden”, etc.
