Church hierarch Philaret is against death penalty (video)

The video made by animator Yuliya Rudnitskaya was inspired by Andrei Dzmitryyeu and Yuliya Lyashkevich. It was ordered by Penal Reform Int.  and created with the help of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee and the European Commission.

 "Being Christians, we cannot justify the death penalty. It was not us, sinners, who gave life to people and we do not have the right put an end to their existence,” Metropolitan Philaret’s words are quoted in the video.
