Customs official: We are checking 25 consignments imported from Kaliningrad
Belarus' Customs officials comment on the news reports about the blocked goods in transit from the Baltic Sea enclave to the mainland Russia.
State Customs Committee of Belarus has commented on the situation with allegedly blocked transit to Russia of electronics from the Kaliningrad region. It was reported by TASS with referenceto the marketing director of the Russian holding GS Group Andrey Bezrukov and CEO of electronics factory Telebalt Victor Borisenko. The companies deliver products from Kaliningrad to Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities by road transport through Belarus.
"Currently, the customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus are finilizing the checks of the 25 consignments imported from the territory of the Kaliningrad region to the rest of the Customs Union territory with the signs of violation of the customs legislation of the Customs Union," wrote the press service of the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
It is noted that "the goods which have their documents processed in accordance with the legislation, pass through the Belarusian section of the Customs Union border without hindrance."
