Russia's culture ministry earmarks $65k for events in Belarus

Russia's Ministry of Culture has allocated 4.2 million Russian rubles (over $65 000) to organize a discussion in Belarus titled "The Role of Russian and Belarusian Culture in Preserving Historical Memory and Counteracting the Falsification of History." Besides the discussion, a roundtable meeting and an exhibition on military history will be organized.
All the above-mentioned events will be organized with the participation of the Russian Military History Society. Nearly 100 people are planned to attend the events, including almost half of the participants from Russia.
The information about the project surfaced on the Russian website of state procurements. The project participants will be accommodated in three- and four-star hotels, provided with food in restaurants or cafes. A special reception will be organized for the Russians and foreign speakers.
The events are expected to take place in Belarus by 20 April 2020.
