Sociologists prove: people believe in crisis and distrust opposition

Despite the statements of the opposition leaders, the sociologists claim that people did come to the parliamentary election: more than 17% during the early voting and 49% - in the primary election day. These conclusions have been made by the sociologists of the Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies. The IISEPS Head Aleh Manayeu explains the reasons for the discrepancy to Euroradio.
Aleh Manayeu: "The people did not listen to that particular urges of the opposition to boycott the election. The people have not listened to, and even ignored the opposition leaders for many years, whatever it may concern! "
The sociologist is convinced that the reason for that is that the opposition exists in the Internet, not close to the people, and does not know their moods and desires.
Besides, over 60% of the population believe: the economy is in crisis. Despite the "relative economic stabilization" and the growth of wages.
Aleh Manayeu: "The number of people who expect that it will be better in the coming years, decreased (25% reported worsening of their financial situation)."
This affects the state leader’s rating. Although it grew by 1.9% within three months, it stuck at 30% for a long time. This "stability" makes Aleh Manayeu worry. Like, the people are alerted and waiting to see what will come out of the authorities’ promises.
Political scientist Dzyanis Melyantsou trusts this information and advises to pay attention to the figures that are very unpleasant for the opposition.

However, Melyantsou thinks that the fact that so many people believe in the existence of an economic crisis and do not believe in improvement of their financial situation is a threat to ... the society itself.
