Thousands of British tourists expect evacuation from Egypt
British air carriers will start evacuating UK citizens from Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday. All the airplanes will leave Great Britain without passengers – all flights to the Egyptian resort have been suspended due to terrorism threat. They will bring Britons home. People will be allowed to bring hand luggage with them. The other luggage will be transported by other planes.
Thousands of British tourists are stuck in Sharm el-Sheikh because the country has suspended all flights to this Red Sea resort.
There is no proof that the Russian airplane was blown up but it seems very likely, BBC quotes British PM David Cameron.
The Egyptian authorities are refuting the possibility of a terrorist act. Nevertheless, a number of major European air carriers have cancelled flights to popular resorts.
