UCP nominates 70 contenders for parliamentary election
70 contenders have been nominated for the parliamentary election at the UCP XVII assembly held in Minsk on Sunday. Yury Hashchavatski, Mikalai Kazlou, Iryna Yaskevich and Mikalai Ulasevich are among them, BelaPAN reports.
Party leader Anatol Lyabedzka has decided not to run for MP. He will be a UCP initiative group member at the election and will become UCP candidates’ accredited representative later.
There are about 30 representatives of the organizing committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy among the UCP contenders. They will be UCP party members ‘during the election campaign’.
The UCP, BCD organizing committee and the Movement For Freedom are planning to participate in the parliamentary election in Belarus on September 11 together.
