Thousands protested against Internet tax in Budapest
Around 10,000 people took to streets in the Hungarian capital Budapest to protest government's plans for the 0.5 euro/Gb tax on internet traffic.
“This plan alienates Hungary from Europe,” the action organizers claimed.
The demonstration in Budapest is the biggest protest against the government’s actions held in the past two years.
The protests may continue on Tuesday, October 28, if the bill is not called back, Reuters reports.
