Blacklisted Mikhalok's BRUTTO performs in Homiel - in pictures
Belarusian band Brutto on October 29 performed in Belarus for the first time since the band was founded two years ago. Brutto frontman Siarhei Milhalok had been unable to play in Belarus even longer - his songs were unofficially banned in Belarus for nearly five years.
Throughout the whole concert, the artists seemed to be careful about not speaking out something excessive. But when in the final minutes of the gig Siarhei Mikhalok's wife Sviatlana Zeliankouskaya brought their little son Makar to the stage, the touched singer opened up more and said a couple of emotional words.
Mikhalok described as historical Brutto's first concert in the homeland. He then addressed the fans: "Your unity, your willpower, your hot hearts have helped to move this rock of misunderstanding and set this ice of estrangement on fire. This is just the beginning. The band moves forward. Our next stop will be in other cities in the Republic of Belarus."
About 4000 fans attended Brutto's gig in Homiel. The artists began with Brutto songs, then continued with Lyapis Trubetskoy's old hits and ended with Brutto hit "Ball" and "Brutto", which initially draw a lot of criticism after the release of their first album.
