Lukashenka test-drives new harvester in Aleksandryja
On 11 August, President Alyaksandr Lukashenka was in the Mahilou region with a working visit. His press office reports that he made a stop at the Aleksandryjskaje agricultural enterprise in the Sklou district. Chatting with the enterprise employees and officials from the district and regional administration, the head of state called to reduce imports in agriculture. He reckons it is necessary to use locally produced seeds, because they contribute to better yields.
Lukashenka also test-drove the Belarus-made grain harvester Palessie GS2124, which he had seen one day before when visiting the harvester-manufacturing plant Gomselmash.
The state TV channels ONT reports the harverster is capable to process up to 24 ton of grain per hour. The cabin is equipped with a fridge, a microwave oven, a CD player, air-conditioning and a satellite navigation system.
