Montenegro deports 7 Belarus nationals

The Montenegro authorities have deported 58 foreigners suspected of being members of the Aum Shinrikyo sect, including 7 Belarusians. The list of deportees also includes 4 Japan nationals, 43 Russians, 3 Ukrainians and one Uzbekistan citizen. All of them lived in the same rented hotel, reports krynica.info quoting foreign media reports.

Aum Shinrikyo was included into the list of terrorst organizations after the 1995 terror attack using poisoneous gas sarin in the Tokyo metro. 13 people died and nearly 6000 were injured during the attack.

The Aum Shinrikyo sect, translated as Supreme Truth, emerged in the 1980s. Initially, this eclectic teaching combined the principles of Buddhism and Hinduism but later also incorporated apocaleptic Chritsian prophecies. Aum Shinrikyo is currently banned in the United States, Canada, European Union, Russia and many other countries.
