Local election in Belarus: No candidates in 10 thousand constituencies

Women are very active in this election campaign. There are more than 4 thousand female contenders.

What kind of people are running for local deputies? Most of them work in education, culture, science and healthcare and agriculture. Local councils members are not required to quit their jobs to perform their duties as deputies.

The registration of candidates will finish on January 8. The local election will be held on February 18.
