Belarus-EU groups meet in Brussels
The Belarus-EU coordinating groups met in Brussels on 6-7 April. The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alena Kupchyna, the EU delegation by Helga Schmid, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service.
According to the press-secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dzmitry Mironchyk, the officials discussed issues related to the current state and prospects of relations between our country and the EU. They spoke about the participation of Belarus in the Eastern Partnership.
Also discussed were the matters of cooperation in the sphere of modernization and technical assistance, as well as "human rights issues". Among the topics raised at the meeting were the launch of new bilateral dialogues between Belarus and the European Union on the subject of energy, trade, customs, standardization and innovation, BelTA reports.
