Belavia will temporarily divert flights from the Iranian and Iraqui airspace following the Ukrainian Airlines plane crash which killed all 176 people onboard near Teheran, the Belarusian airlines said in a statement. Other airlines have made a similar decision over aviation safety concerns.
Belavia operates only one flight above that region - a chartered flight Minsk-Dubai once a week. The next flight will depart Minsk on Friday, 10 January.
