Cab service for pets launched in Minsk (photo, video)
A taxi service for pets has started up in Minsk. AnimalExpress worked in the testing mode from May to September but became fully operational in October.
Piotr Yakushenka, the founder of the pets-tailored taxi company, told naviny.by his vehicles can be called to transport pets to a vet doctor. Only owners are allowed to accompany their pets inside the cab, with 80% of space dedicated to pets and only 20% to people.
The car cabin is disinfected and cleaned after every ride. Even big-size dogs have enough space to sit, lie or move freely. Every driver underwent basic cynological training. The cost of the ride is calculated beforehand so that owners are aware how much they will have to pay for the service.
AnimalExpress has a license. It operates three vehicles at the moment but plans to expand the fleet soon.
