Ice hockey: Belarus seeks to naturalize foreign players for national team

Belarus national ice hockey team head coah Mikhail Zakharau spoke on Belarus 1 TV about the naturalization of foreign hockey players.
"Well, when other countries steal players from us... Why not? If there are decent players, they should be difinitely naturalized."
The head coach reminded that Team Belarus had been in deep crisis for many years and that neither he nor the Ice Hockey Federation saw no way out of this crisis. However, they continue searching for solutions and naturalization of foreigners could help, he said. "The more competition we have, the better it is for the team," the head coach stressed.
Naturalized hockey players may join Team Belarus ahead of the 2021 World Championship to be hosted by Belarus and Latvia.
