In Minsk there are more than four thousand vacant positions of health workers, Telegram channel Pozirk reports based on the data of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The greatest shortage is among nurses with 2080 vacancies. They are followed by medical specialists (1733) and paramedics (335).

Engineers (744) and pedagogues (186) are also among the five specialties with the greatest shortage of personnel in the capital.

Lukashenka recently acknowledged the shortage of medical personnel. Medical professionals are actively leaving Belarus because of the repression that has been going on since 2020. At the same time, they are being thrown behind bars and then dismissed in groups, as happened recently in Navapolatsk.

Among the most needed professions in Minsk are cooks (875), drivers (688), mechanical assemblers (571), electricians for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment (545) and maintenance fitters (492).

As of June 1 there were 30.9 thousand vacancies in Minsk.
