An indoor tennis arena in Pinsk was supposed to open in early July. However, it never did, writes 1pinsk.by. All due to European sanctions.

The Belarusian Tennis Federation (BTF) proposed building the arena in 2019. The city authorities supported the idea and the construction began in 2021.

It was planned to bring the inflatable dome from Slovenia for the arena. But its delivery was disrupted by the European sanctions.

"In the current world situation, the Belarusian Tennis Federation has no possibility of paying and delivering the air-support structure due to the sanctions, as well as logistical problems," the general secretary of the Belarusian Tennis Federation Katsiaryna Lisitsa said.

According to her, they are now looking for a new supplier among Belarusian and Russian manufacturers.
